Admiral Maksimov retires out of the Chief of Staff, First Deputy Commander spot in the Western MD.  General-Lieutenant Anatoliy Sidorov from the analogous Eastern MD post assumes Maksimov’s position.  Notorious General-Lieutenant Sergey Surovikin, once reported to be chief of Russia’s military police, takes over for Sidorov in the Eastern MD.
